Kryptonite was created by our team of chemical engineers with three key requirements. One, it must eliminate the need to violently shake your precious glass, two it must dissolve cannabis oils & flower build-up and, and three, it must be non-toxic and safe for our environment. We knew that if our product dissolved the oils in your bong, you wouldn’t have to shake it. And we have heard hundreds of stories about people breaking their bongs while cleaning them with the old-school salt and alcohol method. Our solution gently coats the inside of your bong or hand-pipe. And, we also knew that alcohol, acetone, D-Limonene and many other cancer-causing chemicals are included in other cleaners. Not ours! We designed Kryptonite to be a little viscous, but easily rinsed away with water, so that it would not leave any residue behind as it polishes your glass cannabis tools. This is what makes your experience, “Don’t Shake! Coat, Relax and Rinse.” The last features we added were green color and mint fragrance. Kryptonite is green and green smells minty, right? KLEAR™ Kryptonite bong cleaner took the Colorado market by storm! The Colorado Board of Safety approved Kryptonite as “non-toxic” it was off to the races. Now, when we go out in Colorado, wearing a Kryptonite hat or t-shirt, it’s a conversation starter! One night, a couple of us were out at a bar in Colorado and the bartender saw the hat, “Hey! We were happy when KLEAR™ Naked started getting great reviews. After KLEAR™ Naked, we heard from professional extraction labs that they needed a version of our cleaner specially formulated for their needs. We created KLEAR™ Extractor Cleaner for growers and producers. KLEAR™ Extractor Cleaner cut cleaning times by 24x and reduced the cost of maintaining their labs. KLEAR™ Extractor Cleaner is concentrated, and engineered to be diluted up to 40 to 1 in water. Although, KLEAR™ Extractor Cleaner was engineered for extraction labs, it turns out that dab users love it! It has all the great KLEAR™ features with new ways to use it. We Take Bong Cleaning Serious

KLEAR™ Extractor cleaner uses the same non-toxic oil dissolving ingredients as KLEAR™ Kryptonite and KLEAR™ Naked. Extractor cleaner is very concentrated and is diluted before use. What you are cleaning determines how much you should dilute it. Before you start You may want to have a spray bottle, measuring cup and a sponge. For your convenience, here’s a few we like below. How much you dilute Extractor cleaner depends on what you are cleaning. Here’s some recommendations below. In the table below, we show some items, the amount of dilution, and a method for cleaning that item. The dillution amounts are just rough. It doesn't have to be perfect. The methods of cleaning are further explained below the table. Cleaning with KLEAR™ Extractor Cleaner

Introduction Here at Klear Solutions, we hear a lot about cleaning bongs with salt and alcohol. And, what’s funny is that as we run our web site, we see that tons of people search on how to do that. So, let’s talk about how to do that. And, let’s talk about why you shouldn’t. Why Clean Your Bong As it says in many articles on how to clean a bong, smoking from a clean bong is not only a better way to taste your bud; it is also better for your health. And, cleaning a bong with salt and alcohol is the way most people have cleaned their bongs for many years. Now, let’s get into it. Salt and Alcohol Bong Cleaning Generally, the steps to clean a bong that is about 18 inches tall is to add about ½ cup of iodine-free salt to the top and lower openings. Then add about two cups of isopropyl alcohol. As part of this process, you will probably want some bong caps to keep all this inside the bong. The final step is to violently shake your bong so that the mixture and your effort cleans the bong. Try not to break your bong in the last step. Many people do. More Information When it comes to sealing the openings of your bong, we offer Klear Kryptonite Bong Caps on our web site. We found that, no matter what cleaner you are using, they make it a lot easier. Another thing we found is that if you purchase bong cleaner, and that bong cleaner is salt and alcohol based, you might want to check the label to see if it has D-Limonene in it. Basically, D-Limonene is poison and it’s our opinion you should avoid putting that chemical in your bong. A Better Alternative Having known all of this for many years, the founders of Klear Solutions had two key things in mind when they invented Klear Kryptonite Bong Cleaner. First, we needed something that did not require shaking your bong. We kept hearing about people breaking their bongs while shaking them in the old-school cleaning process. Second, we needed something that wasn’t poisonous. Our first product was invented by a PhD chemist to meet both of those needs. How to Clean your Bong with Klear Kryptonite The steps to clean a bong that is about 18” tall start off with getting a bottle of Klear Kryptonite or Klear Naked bong cleaner. Those are available here. The second step is to shake the bottle of Kryptonite (not your bong) for a moment to make sure it’s good to go. Next, pour enough Kryptonite into your bong to coat all of the internal surfaces. We find that pouring a little in the lower opening, capping that with our bong caps, adding a little more on the top, and capping that is very easy to do. Then, instead of shaking your bong, just gently move it around to coat the surfaces. Then, since this will usually product a little extra, you can pour some into a baggie and put your stem and bowl into the baggie. Mush that around until everything is coated. Again, be gentle. Kryptonite will simply melt all the oils over the next 30 minutes while you relax. The final step is to rinse everything with warm water. Bong Cleaning with Salt, Alcohol and More

For many cannabis users, whether you are smoking out of a water pipe, glass bong or oil rig, making sure your that your glass is clean is a necessity. With time, any glass bong or pipe will accumulate tars and resins from cannabis flower, BHO or CO2 oils that are being consumed. Individuals who don’t clean their smoking accessories regularly can suffer from respiratory and other health issues. Furthermore, dirty glass diminishes the ability to enjoy cannabis as it should be enjoyed! Cleaning your bong with salt and alcohol is by far the most popular method as many cannabis users aren’t familiar with an effective glass and bong cleaner like Kryptonite. While cleaning a glass pipe or bong with salt and alcohol works to a degree, there are many hazards that come with it – namely breaking your heady glass pipe or bong. With that being said, we still wanted to educate people on the correct way to clean a bong using salt and alcohol. Make the Bong Cleaning Solution The two main ingredients in your homemade bong cleaner are salt and alcohol. There are some people who even like to use vinegar and even mouthwash. Alcohol is the most popular of these choices, but it is also the most dangerous. Alcohol is highly flammable! Putting a flame to a pipe or glass bong (i.e. – right after you clean it) is never a good idea! That being said, the best salt to use is Iodine-free table salt. Some smokers prefer rock salt which is generally bigger and may not reach all nooks and crannies in most intricate glass pipe or bongs. Also, having a bunch of rocks shaken around within your glass bong may not end well (Kryptonite’s cleaner is clay-based and has no debris in it like salt or other abrasives). Once you’ve obtained your salt and alcohol, pour about ½ cup of salt through the top opening. If you water pipe or glass bong has percolators, you’ll also want to add about ½ cup of salt into the lower opening. This assumes an 18 inch water pipe or glass bong. If your pipe bigger or smaller than 18 inches, adjust the amounts appropriately. To complete the solution, pour in twice as much isopropyl alcohol (ex. ½ cup of salt, use 1 cup of alcohol. Always use a 2:1 ratio of alcohol:salt). Cleaning Your Bong For the cleaning solution to stay contained within the water, you need to cap the upper and lower openings of your bong. A common method of doing this is with one hand on the upper opening and your thumb on your other hand on the lower opening. Once the openings are sealed, violently shake your bong. By shaking your bong, the salt is supposed to remove the built up tars and resins from it. The harder and longer you shake, the cleaner your bong will become. Be careful though! Plenty of heady glass pipes and bongs have been broken by using a household cleaner like salt and alcohol. That’s why we always recommend Kryptonite glass and bong cleaner, which never requires you to shake whatever you are cleaning! It should also be noted that if you’re using salt and alcohol to clean an acrylic bong, it scratch your bong! This is because the plastic is soft and the salt is an abrasive (similar to sandpaper). In commercial products like Formula 420 cleaner, which is 97 proof alcohol, salt and they also add the legal limit of D-Limonene, which in most states is 3%. The Dangers of Bong Cleaners That Contain Salt Salt and alcohol are the two main ingredients of most bong cleaners on the market today. Salt is used as an abrasive, similar to sand paper. As you violently shake your bong when cleaning it with a salt-based solution, it can and will scratch the glass. This is why older bongs seem to get dirty faster as the tar and resin build up in the grooves caused by the salt-based cleaning solution. Rinse with Warm Water Now that you have vigorously shaken your bong, pour new alcohol/salt solution which you cleaned your bong with into the sink. Thoroughly rinse your bong with plenty of warm water while rinsing your sink. Please do a thorough job as alcohol is highly flammable. A Word of Caution About Cleaners Containing Alcohol Have you ever seen a blue flash after you’ve cleaned your bong? Many individuals using alcohol-based cleaning solutions see this during their first hit? This blue flame is the leftover alcohol from the cleaning solution igniting when a flame is placed to your bong. This can be very dangerous, especially if you haven’t thoroughly rinsed your glass after using alcohol-based solutions! How to Clean Resin and Tar out of the Sink After you’ve completely washed out all the rubbing alcohol from your bong, set it safely to the side. It’s time to wash your sink. You’ll probably want to do this immediately after, especially if you’re cleaning your bong at your parent’s or in-laws house! They may not appreciate their entire kitchen or bathroom smelling like bong water. A significant amount of Comet, a brillo pad and serious elbow grease should be able to remove the dirty bong water smell out of your sink.
